In Support of Online Astrology Publications
And You Joining Mine as Writer and Reader
When timing is everything, why wait for the skies to change their story?
As astrologers, we must align our work with the cosmos as synchronistic as possible, or else or words fall flat to a changing planetary landscape.
When picking up the latest The Mountain Astrologer —arguably the leading astrological authority in print — it feels awkward that so much time has passed since these words were written. Certainly there’s more to the story, which warrants additions — if not corrections — to what’s been written in our alternative to stone.
In order to seize the moment, might our writing be best relayed in real-time on a platform and medium that can support it? … with an audience whose attention is certainly sustained for the oftentimes time-sensitive topics at hand?
Certainly in this era of air, as Pluto enters the sign of Astrology itself — Aquarius — might it be time to push for a more diverse, yet organized landscape of high-quality writing for every niche imaginable? To lead the online noise into a melodic hum of finely-tuned creations whose creators are singing the songs of the universe? And in advance of Uranus’ Gemini ingress later this decade, won’t it be nice to be part of the community that’ll continue to ride this transformative wave?
As Pluto trines my Gemini ascendant and my 5th house Jupiter, it tells me that the time is now to write and otherwise create the visions I’ve kept inside for so long. Like when my husband asked why don’t I start an astrological publication at least a year (if not longer) ago, but I didn’t see the means for that until this week! Seeing that there is a place for my ideas here on Medium in this universe that’s flooded with them, and that mine don’t have to take away or replace any others. There is room — room for yours as well.
So please join me at Planetary Arts Journal as an astrologer talented in myriad other forms of creation — be them creative nonfiction writer of personal essays or poetry, lecturer on any aspect of the craft, critic of books or other educational programming, interviewer, and more.
