This has been an absolutely incredible week, and we have so much to share since our last update. Between rapid growth of our community spaces, two mint outs over the weekend, and a rush of excitement, the entire Planet Atmos team and community have a lot to celebrate — and a lot ahead of us.

Let’s dive in.

Minting and Revealing

On Friday the 7th, we were thrilled to begin the mint of the Digital Collector’s Edition of Atmos: Exordium Chapter 01. This was a free mint with allowlist. The community had just under a month to sign up for the allowlist, and MKIV Datacard holders were automatically airdropped a copy as the mint began, following a snapshot taken on Oct 6th.

During the Exordium mint, a new group of folks learning about us also discovered the remaining supply of the MKIV Datacard mint. Soon enough, they minted all Datacards.

This new group of holders was not included in the snapshot, having minted after the 6th, and requested that the upcoming public side of the Exordium mint be made for Datacard holders specifically — provided there was remaining supply. The team heard these new community members, agreeing they should have access to any remaining supply rather than the public.

However the allowlist ended up completing the mint early Sunday morning, US Eastern.

The following Monday, at 5pm ET, the community was able to see which of the three possible covers of Exordium they had minted and read the comic itself.

Soon, folks were sharing their favorite panels from the comic and searching for an available copy of their favorite cover.

On Monday, the team also hosted a Twitter Spaces to discuss the events of the weekend with the community, what was going to happen when it came to the reveal, and what comes next for Planet Atmos.

During this time, the size of our community across all of our platforms roughly doubled. And this is just the beginning…

Holders First

When Planet Atmos says it puts its community of holders first, this is no hollow promise. We are truly humbled by your participation in our new world and are constantly thinking of new ways to demonstrate just how important you are to us.

Notably, those holding our digital collectibles are our power users building this world with us. As of right now, there are two digital collectibles available for the community. But what are these and what do they actually do?

The MKIV Datacard

The Datacard holds information and unlocks access. Sometimes that access is exclusive, and sometimes it is early access.

The Information

  • High fidelity and resolution images of the MKIV Exo, the genesis playable digital collectible on Planet Atmos
  • Sneak peeks at each part of the Exo, and some customization options
  • Insight into the background and story of Planet Atmos
  • Hints about Emergent, the organization that settled Planet Atmos
  • Additional updates to the content therein

The Access

  • An exclusive mint window for the MKIV Exo drop, the mechanics of which will be announced at a later date
  • A verified holder role in the community Discord server unlocking access to the team and holder-specific content
  • Opportunities for first access to additional Planet Atmos related mints, airdrops, and more — each of which will have their specific mechanics announced once finalized
  • Access to holder-specific experiences, both digital and physical

The Digital Collector’s Edition of Atmos: Exordium Chapter 01

Similar to our MKIV Datacard, the Digital Collector’s Edition of Atmos: Exordium Chapter 01 has additional perks for those who hold it. These include:

  • A full comic to read
  • Access to Collector’s Edition cover designs by world renowned artists Peach Momoko and Dave Johnson
  • An invite to a private writer’s channel in the Planet Atmos Discord to chat with the creative team
  • Exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at how the series was created. View world-building concept art, character designs, script excerpts, page layouts, pencils, and more.
  • Exclusive access to in-game gear for the forthcoming game from Planet Atmos Labs, ExoGP
  • Early opportunity to mint future chapters of Exordium

Over time, additional updates may be made to these digital collectibles to make them even more interesting for those who hold them.

Learn more about the story during the upcoming AMA with Dylan Bushnell and Rob McVeety — set a reminder today!

Origins

We’ve launched a new YouTube series for our community called “Atmos Origins”. These installments help tell the human story of Atmos Labs, our motivations, and our backgrounds. The first focuses on Atmos Labs’ Founder & CEO Kevin Beauregard.

The second highlights our Creative Director, Tommy Lee Edwards.

Keep an eye out for upcoming content like “Origins” and more on this channel — don’t forget to subscribe!

Community Highlights

We want to take a moment to highlight all of our community members, new and old, their participation in our world — both this weekend and beyond. Seeing you all interact with one another, sharing your thoughts, experiences, excitement, and questions is exhilarating.

Your engagement helps keep this world growing. We’re actively developing new experiences for the community to continue to engage and have access to new opportunities. Stay tuned.

More to Come

We mean it when we say this is just the beginning. We are extremely excited to continue to deliver to our community and build upon this great foundation with each of you.

As we say on Atmos — lgl (Let’s Get Lifted),

Update: We have updated the discord link in this post.
