Welcome back to our monthly review! Today, we’ll be revisiting the vibrant happenings of June. So buckle up and join us as we journey through the milestones and memorable moments that painted our past month in diverse hues of excitement and celebration!
Unity In Pride
As we rolled into June, it was like opening the door to a colorful festival that celebrates all the ways we can be human. This was no ordinary month — it was Pride Month, a global party for FREEDOM. We raised our voices and flags high for our brothers and sisters, regardless of their color, identity, or where they call home.
June reminds us why Pride is so important. It’s not just a big, joyful celebration; it’s also a strong, hopeful stand against inequality. We spent the month championing everyone’s right to be themselves, honoring the battles fought and the victories won.
But Pride Month wasn’t only about the LGBTQ+ community. It was also a time to shine a light on our family of color, inside and outside the community. We know that race, gender identity, and orientation are threads woven into a person’s unique story, and in June, we celebrated each of those stories.
Looking back, it was a month full of color, but what I love most is the view of all kinds of Civitas Fragments in one frame. It reminds us that each of us is a radiant fragment of a beautiful, fragile crystal. Alone we glow, but together, we blaze a magnificent shine.
But of course, speaking of unity. We did not only celebrate Pride Month. Our community lead, Giorgio Crosali, better known as Error 404, also started the month by guesting on a Twitter space hosted by @Firebondapp. They identified and explored the essential tools that conquer the digital wilderness of web3 marketing along with @expecto_petrova. As we welcomed the very colorful month of June, we also started the month by connecting with other communities because we’re not and will never stop building for y’all, fam.
What’s New?
As some of you may have already noticed, we added something new to our Weekly Art Leak reveals every Thursday. We’re now introducing a weekly Art Leak TEASER every Tuesday. And clearly, some of you have very sharp eyes, and really guess what the next art leak will be based on the art-leak-teaser. Or at least they get the closest correct answer.
What do you get if you get the correct answer? For now? Nothing yet. But maybe soon, there might be something. Who knows, right? But this idea allows our community to gain more insight into our team and the inspiration behind the artwork.
Art Everywhere
Our artistic journey in June was as vibrant as the month itself. If you missed the leaks, do take a moment to revisit and appreciate the meticulous artistry that mirrors the rich diversity and life we celebrated this month.
But my favorite is this one.
Celebrations
June was full of fun days we all celebrated together. We started off with Donut Day, making our days a bit sweeter. On World Ocean Day, we took time to think about our big, beautiful planet.
We enjoyed the longest day of the year when the Summer Solstice came. And on Father’s Day, we greatly thanked all the dads and dad-like figures in our lives.
And who could forget Social Media Day? We ‘liked’ it, we ‘shared’ it, and we certainly didn’t ‘mute’ our excitement. This day was like our ‘status update’, reminding us of the connections we’ve made and the stories we’ve shared in the community.
Each of these special days brought us closer together in the Civitas community. They’re more than just dates on the calendar — they’re like posts on our communal timeline, adding to our shared story.
Meet the Team
We believe transparency, connection, and community are essential in this project. That’s why “Meet the Team” articles are here. These aren’t simply casual introductions or snapshots of our team members’ resumes. Instead, they are intimate and detailed glimpses into the lives of the individuals who make up our organization.
Transparency and authenticity are paramount in today’s digital world. As such, by publishing “Meet the Team,” we’re not only shedding light on our operations and ethos but also providing a context within which our team functions. This helps us break down the ‘corporate veil’ and build trust with our community as they get to know the team that works behind the scenes.
At its core, “Meet the Team” serves a dual purpose: fostering a sense of connection between our team and our community and humanizing the people behind the project. Each piece sheds light not just on what our team members do at work but also on who they are outside of it.
And with all that said, let’s delve deeper into our team! Meet Þórey, our awesome multimedia designer at Directive Games. She’s the one who makes our designs pop and fills our world with color. Final Words
