Pledgecamp Engineering Update #16

Hello again from the engineering team, we’re here with another update! Last week we worked on a variety of tasks, including user payment methods, creator ACH payouts, a PLG wallet interface, style updates, reward bundles and backend integration for various existing pages. #BuildWednesday

On the demo site at https://demo.pledgecamp.com you can check out the project creation flow and dashboard, although not everything is hooked up to the backend yet. Some other pages are also available for UI preview as well, such as user profiles and settings.

Backend

• New lines of code: 389
• Improve user session handling
• Add database models for reward bundles
• Add endpoint for creators to access backer shipping status
• Enable creators to search project backers
• Implement daily funding analytics for projects

Frontend

• New lines of code: 586
• Add page for email confirmation pending
• Add page to input missing information
• Begin backend integration for user settings
• Add user payment methods UI
• Add PLG wallet UI

This Week

This week we’ll continue working on project analytics, finish up user settings related pages, and try to finish backend integration for the project dashboard. After some setbacks, we have made good progress with our custom payment solution, and should have the basics done in a week or two. We’re also setting up a development and marketing office in Hong Kong, and will have more news on that soon.
