Long beak and small form
Ripples on water not following any pattern
The Start of a Decade: 2020
The year started with a promise
Beginning of a new decade,
The rain and grey sky loomed until February
Then came March with the promise of spring
He teaches me to be mindful
He teaches me to be joyful
He teaches me to love my family
He teaches me to love my body
He teaches me to open my heart
4 decades ago a ceremony took place,
That defined my destiny in this space;
4 decades ago hymns united two souls as they prayed,
In the dark on a Kayak in the ocean I ventured,
It is a moonless and starless night,
I no longer wish to be a prisoner of my past,
Every dawn begins a new phase;
I no longer wish to dwell on misgivings of yesterday,
Today, I wish to embark on a new way;
My mind longs for a challenge,
Isn’t this work arduous, I probe?
Obligations of the day are essential for sure,
Completions of chores is crucial to the core,
The hummingbird stops mid-flight
She pauses to decide to go left or right
I am enchanted by her movements
Her long beak and small form
Listening to yellow submarine,
We eat pancakes for breakfast;
Exciting day starts as our imagination crafts adventures,
We make Lego houses on unimaginable foundations;
She gazes out of the window,
Busyness of the street resembles her mind,
Bustling, organized chaos;
She seeks stillness,
To navigate disorder of life,
