Include a link to a poem by another Poetry Playground author that you’ve clapped and commented on in your story. This is a Playground where we support each other, and this will help everyone.

NOTE: Remember to include ‘Poetry Playground’ as one of your tags.

It is time for another Poetry Playground Prompt! Last week’s prompt received an incredible amount of stunning responses. This week we are celebrating six months as a publication! We have an image prompt to inspire you.

The image I invite you to use as a prompt is the one above, shown again below. It is a painting by PS Kroyer, painted in 1899. It depicts the artist and his wife walking along the shore.

For this prompt, you could focus on the beach, the ship in the distance, the moon, the love of the couple, or the dog — or anything else your mind goes following this prompt. There is so much to think about in the image.

Please include the image somewhere in your submission.
