Polkadot / Kusama

  • A Parity representative has posted “The Future of Polkadot Staking” on the Polkadot Forum to discuss the future roadmap of staking.
  • The winner of Parachain Auction #38 is confirmed as Aleph Zero, an enterprise-ready and high-performance privacy-enhancing blockchain platform that provides near-instant transaction finality. It benefits from the scalability, low transaction fees, and high security.

Acala / Karura

  • The Wormhole bridge is now live on Acala. This gives the Polkadot and Acala DeFi ecosystems access to collaborate on cross-chain liquidity and data with other layer-1 networks like Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Solana.   • Energy Web collaborates with KORE to establish a secure communication channel with every asset on the grid by implementing a zero-trust security model powered by digital identities, eSIM technology, and OPEN IoT SAFE. Details.
  • Energy Web is joining the OPENTUNITY consortium to open electricity ecosystems to decarbonize European grids.

Crust / Shadow

  • MEXC now supports the Crust Network mainnet. Previously, the only supported network for the CRU token was ERC-20.
  • The first batch of Crust Polkadot Crowdloan rewards has been distributed. They will be unlocked linearly over 12 months.
  • The Crust Maxwell webpage & block explorer officially stopped operating on February 4th.

Astar / Shiden

  • Astar’s 2nd discovery of the year (Astar.js) has appeared. It is a powerful and versatile tool for interacting with the Astar blockchain for developers building dApps on the network.
  • Web3alert has entered Astar’s Build2Earn program, and you can now stake ASTR with them on dApp Staking.
  • The Astar Foundation is very excited to announce the first Web3 hackathon on Astar, sponsored by Toyota Motor Corporation.
  • For those holding Shiden’s SDN tokens on Kucoin, the withdrawal service of SDN will be closed at 10:00:00 on June 28, 2023 (UTC). So please plan and act accordingly.

Interlay / Kintsugi

Centrifuge / Altair

  • The Centrifuge community is looking for input on the founding documents for the Centrifuge DAO. This is an excellent chance to get involved at the ground level of decentralized governance for the project.

Moonbeam / Moonriver

  • Moonbeam Accelerator is a program that focuses on reinforcing core skills in areas needed to run successful tech startups & is one of many ways in which projects on Moonbeam are supported. Applications to join the program and be accepted among the first 10 teams are due by February 19th.
  • Squid, a cross-chain swap and liquidity routing protocol on Alexar Network, is now live on Moonbeam. Developers can leverage it to scale their DApps with new cross-chain features, bringing access to native tokens on various chains via built-in architecture/dev tools.
  • Request Finance integrates with Moonbeam, adding support for crypto payments.
  • Referendum 128 for Runtime 2100 on Moonriver is now up to revote until Wednesday, February 8. If passed, it will implement: OpenGov, changes for staking reward payouts, new dynamic fees mechanism on Moonbase Alpha.

Composable Finance / Picasso

  • Applications for Composable Finance’s ambassador program are open. Apply and be part of the Composers that help improve Composable products and deliver the project's mission.
  • CosmWasm developers will be able to get the first set of grants that will help them deploy on Picasso’s parachain.

Bit.Country / Pioneer

  • January was a busy month at Bit.Country. The team has launched Kaosland, distributed over 20k rewards, plus minted the Odyssey Key Collection. Read its Monthly Dev Update for more details.

Manta / Calamari

  • The first ever Manta NFT is here. Everyone who contributed to Trusted Setup is eligible for the “Trusted Contributor” NFT.

Enjin / Efinity

  • The Efinity token is now approved by JVCEA (Japan regulator). JVCEA approved only 65 tokens. EFI joins a short list of Japan-approved metaverse tokens, including ENJ, SAND, and AXS.

SORA

  • SORA v1.7.0 has been released on the testnet with TBCD tokenomics.

Dock

  • Dock has completed the design phase of a feature that enables credentials to be distributed by Decentralized Identifiers. When credentials are currently issued, they are typically distributed by scanning a QR code or by using e-mail. Read more.
