The Polkaswap.io 1.19.0 release was delivered! What’s all the buzz about? We’ve dropped a game-changer for crypto newcomers — Connect with Google 🔑
Create or import your SORA account & sign transactions through a connection to your Google account seamlessly without having to install or connect an external wallet. This is a game changer for users who find it complicated to store their mnemonics on paper and are slowly transitioning from Web2 login solutions.
Aside from that, there are some other new features:
- Address Book with on-chain identities for more personalised interactions.
- Price impact notification for swaps to keep you updated on market movements.

SORA Synthetics (XST) support is now LIVE
Unleash the power of synthetic tokens on Polkaswap! With an added filter for easy access, delve into the complete list of tokens and relish the range of synthetic tokens available. There are 30 new synthetic assets on their way after being approved by governance, with 11 synthetic assets already listed.

Additionally:
- Enhanced Bridge functionalities for an optimized user experience.
- Fiat difference/price impact UI improvements to present data more intuitively.
Ongoing Developments
As we continue to push the boundaries of DeFi, several notable items are currently in progress:
- Integration of the Subsquid service to Polkaswap — 90% complete
To improve the accuracy of the data provided on Polkaswap, we have teamed up with Subsquid to bring even more metrics to the Statistics and Explore pages, support all blockchain history, and have backward compatibility with the Subquery indexer service. Preparing the feeds and ensuring compatibility is the first part of adding Subsquid data. At the moment, this part has been completed. And now only maintenance of this service is being carried out.
The second part of adding Subsquid data to Polkaswap is being worked on in tandem. A clear overview of all the token movements and network changes requires a lot of data. By integrating a Subsquid feed, we ensure you have a reliable and accurate source of information for all your needs.
- Development of the SORA substrate bridge — 90% complete
We’re inching closer to perfection with the SORA<->Substrate bridge, already flexing its muscles on the public testnet: test.polkaswap.io. Now, the focus turns to improving the history management for bridge transactions & history restoration.
- XOR native staking UI — 30% complete
Native validator staking is making its grand debut, all within the chic confines of Polkaswap’s interface! Instead of nominating your favourite validator from the Dotapps.io interface or Fearless Wallet, you can choose and fund your favourite nodes with style and freedom! Development for this feature has just begun, so more details will be available as work progresses.
- Implementation of Order Book & limit orders — 25% complete
The dev team is still concentrated on logic implementation & UI preparation in terms of different widgets like the order book itself, depth chart, trade history, place order UI, etc. The next step will be indexer integration for the order book history.
