Share the Gift of Sending Thank you

Now that Christmas is over and things are back to a routine, have you sent out your thank-you notes for the gifts and kindness others showed you during the holiday season?

A thank you note should be on a regular base year-round after a birthday or anniversary. “Thank you” is not being used often enough.

Teach your child to write thank you notes

Children should be taught this lesson of sending thank you notes to family and friends that have bought a gift for their siblings. No better time to teach this lesson than at Christmas.

You, as a parent, may want to sit down with your child and write a thank you note to the child for the gift you received from them. This will set the example of how strong the thank you note can be when receiving the thank you note.

Thank you notes are not just for children to send out. Adults need to get back to basics and keep this practice going year in and year out to be good role models for the family. I just want to mention when buying thank-you notes sometimes sports teams and schools will sell thank-you notes to raise money and there is another big thank you to you for buying.
