We have lift off! Primalbase Lease Market launches

Primalbase has had a whirlwind of a month. With the leasing platform off the ground, we have been the subject of quite a bit of online chatter. A huge thank you must go to all our supporters, token holders and anyone who has written about us over the last month for the positive messages. Please do let us know your feedback and thoughts on how we could improve and develop this function for you. Contact us through any of our social media channels (listed at the bottom of this report) or email support@primalbase.com.

We’ve been busy offline too, with long-awaited events like the Master Workshop: Layer I solutions taking over Primalbase AMS for a weekend. Our CEO Ralph Manheim also presented at the European Coworking Conference and we held daily tours of the office from the event attendees eager to see how blockchain and coworking comes together under Primalbase.

With operational meetings, New York Construction, Singapore trips and Christmas markets all going on, the end of the year is going to be jam-packed!

Locations updates

Primalbase AMS
November has been busy in the Amsterdam office. We welcomed multiple tours of people throughout the month as part of the European Coworking Conference. We had the opportunity to show them our space as well as share our story with them. Thanks to all those that came! Our CEO, Ralph Manheim, also delivered a presentation on how blockchain and coworking come together through Primalbase.

Binary District and the Research Institute’s ‘Master Workshop: Layer I Scaling solutions’ was another highlight. Hosted in Primalbase AMS we had two days of lively discussion and insight into an area that’s of particular interest to us — blockchain scalability! It was amazing to hear some of the work being done in the space from the leading lights, and even better to have such an engaged audience. We hope our guests had as good a time as we did hosting them, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Amsterdam for events in the future.

In other news, the 4 PBT office has been occupied regularly by our token holders — good stuff! Here’s a friendly reminder for our token holders with 4 PBT or more that the 4 PBT office in Amsterdam remains available to you. If you would like to make a reservation, please use our online booking platform!

Primalbase BER
In Berlin, we kicked off November with a two-day Ops Academy. All Primalbase’s Operations Managers came together to share knowledge and experiences to further improve our offices and services to better serve our community. We are also happy to welcome the newest addition to our local team; Marah, who will be our Office and Operations intern for the next few months. You can find a brief introduction about her in the ‘Team updates’ section earlier in this report.Meanwhile, Potsdamer Platz welcomed in the Holiday season by opening its Christmas market just in front of our office. From Glühwein (mulled wine) and “Currywurst’’ (local sausage), to sweets and nuts, visitors can indulge themselves as they do their Christmas shopping. Let’s not forget the pink and yellow carousel for children, as well as the slide for both children and adults to get everybody into action during the Holidays. If you’re visiting, have a go!

Lastly, a reminder that our token holders with 4 PBT or more are also welcome to come and use our 4 PBT office. If you would like to make a reservation, please use our online booking platform!

Primalbase LDN
November was our first full month in Primalbase LDN and we are really settling in. We welcomed token holders up to the our office on the 32nd floor, as well as provided tours for prospective tenants. We are also looking forward to hosting a Waves event next month, which will be looking back on 2018s achievements, and have been spending time preparing for that recently.

The plaza at CityPoint has begun its countdown to Christmas with some festive food stalls and an outdoor cinema if you are brave enough to embrace the cold (luckily there is mulled wine to warm you up).

Lastly, a reminder that our token holders with 4 PBT or more are also welcome to come and use our 4 PBT office. If you would like to make a reservation, please use our online booking platform!

Primalbase NYC
In New York, we look to kick off construction soon, as we’ve been working to secure our general contractor and complete all pre-construction planning with our project management team. In the meantime, we’ve visited our new office and started exploring the neighbourhood to find great coffee shops and lunch spots. We’re in a fantastic location and can’t wait to share our recommendations. Currently, we’re working with our interior design team to create the ideal workspace for our token holders that showcases both our incredible views and highlights New York’s unique style.

Primalbase SGP
Another trip to Singapore this month as it’s a challenging market to establish a business in. We have received more interesting office spaces to review from different real estate agents. The areas we are looking at are Tanjong Pagar, City Hall/Marina Centre and Sun Tech Towers. We feel these are the best areas for our community to be housed — and, of course, there are the stunning views. Meanwhile, we have also found a very committed legal team who will assist and advise us in all Singapore-related rules and regulations. We will update you soon with more information about the Singapore office.

Web-product updates

The beta version of the Primalbase booking platform with Lease Market was launched on 6th November. We want to thank our community members for their patience, support and involvement in the leasing project from the very beginning. The Lease Market allows anybody who owns ETH to lease a desk in one of our network of shared workspaces using our booking platform.

It’s not the final stop for us. Currently, we are busy with data analysis and user research to determine next steps and update our roadmap for future development. Our main focus for the end of this year, though, is to spread the news about Primalbase and grow the audience and our research. Feel free to contribute to our roadmap and share your thoughts.

Primalbase community

Events are a huge part of our mission to grow our thriving community and November saw one of our most successful to date. ‘Master Workshop: Layer I solutions’ was a fantastic community gathering in our Amsterdam office, with an expert lineup of speakers complemented by an engaged and knowledgeable audience. We might have snuck in a few games of pool, too.

We’re now looking forward to next month, as in December we welcome Waves to our London office for an event that celebrates their achievements in 2018 and offers a glimpse of how blockchain technology will become the backbone of Web 3.0. ‘Waves Web 3.0 revolution’ is part of The Next Web’s Hard Fork Decentralization track, and will be coming to our London office from 6 pm on 14th December.

Speakers already confirmed include:

  • Alexandr Kolupaev, Communications Manager (Waves Lab)
  • Tatiana Tsiguleva, Product Owner
  • Ilya Smagin, Lead Smart Contract Developer
  • Yuriy Naydenov, Senior Blockchain Architect

Anyone who has been to one of our recent events will understand how excited we are to welcome you all back to our beautiful London space. Tickets are free but space is limited, so make sure you register as soon as possible to reserve your place.

Team updates

Michael Domanski and Marah Al-Hasan

Michael Domanski — Head of Sales
Michael was welcomed aboard the Primalbase Team this month as our Head of Sales. Michael was born in Poland, raised in the United States and educated in Australia so has plenty of international experience to thrive in Primalbase. Michael is a professional with 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector. He was the former Director of Sales at the Europe Hotels Private Collection. Michael has a diverse range of interests including snowboarding, hiking, horse riding, contemporary art, design and architecture. We are very pleased to welcome him to Primalbase!

Marah Al-Hasan — Berlin Intern
We are delighted to welcome Marah to our Berlin office, where she will be acting as an intern to the Operational team. Marah is an exchange student from Jordan and is completing her internship as part of a year-long stay in Germany. She will be studying and working as she completes her Bachelor’s in Management Sciences at the German-Jordanian University.

Marah says: “I am an avid believer of value-adding through human capital, I am going to try my best to prove this through positively impacting the Berlin office. I am looking forward to working here with Lars and I would also like to learn more about Blockchain through research and conversations with the community.

“I really enjoy reading miscellaneous books or getting acquainted with the myriad streets of Berlin with my Nikon D5200 (or my mobile phone for convenience!) in my free time. Never have I ever been so satisfied with the abundance of vegan restaurants and café options here. Also, the ‘Deutsche Oper’ was once an absolute delightful discovery in my opinion.

“I am eager to meet the Primalbase community and further develop my skills through this internship.”

We are thrilled to welcome Marah to the team and excited to see what she brings to Berlin.
