Hi everyone!

Hope you are having a great weekend!

I would like convey our thanks for helping with the signal boost for the online unconference coming up on 31st October.

As a volunteer and organiser of your own community, you understand fully well the time, commitment and tears that go into running your learning events. I have also observed and participated in many of your meetups over the years and deeply appreciate the effort to organise the gathering of people in each country so that this is possible.

A few of us started this journey back in 2013 (Raven, Khai Seng, Kwok Chung and a few others) when we came together from our collective experiences across different communities and the challenges of learning/growing in different silos of information and knowledge.

Within our communities, we have observed some values we share

Transparency
Sharing + Collaboration
Practical, tested, validated (pragmatic)
Action bias
Learning driven

As volunteers, we were also guided by similar principles :

Action speaks louder than words
Lead by example
Volunteer not only you want to, but also because you can

The upcoming online unconference is a small step to bridge people, topics and themes we have observed come up around challenges as a product person (tech, design, product) and lessons learnt.

We hope this is an annual gathering of minds and stories to propel our community work further in the upcoming years. With your help, we now have 62 participants across multiple Agile, UX, Product & Tech communities ( Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, United States, Australia & Taiwan!)
