This is part of my #productidea 30 day challenge on which each day I write about a new product idea.

Education is another field I’m interested. I see a lot of opportunities to improve the quality of the education, by helping teachers and students. A few months ago I went to an open education meet-up in Madrid (Spain) where we discussed several topics in different groups.

A clear learning was that teachers were alone in the schools, nobody was giving feedback to them on how well they were doing or how they could improve. That’s a feedback teachers receive in another countries of the world.

Most of them were also newbies to technology so they weren’t able to take advantage of Internet, websites, content online, etc, to improve the quality of their teachings. Nobody is teaching them how to improve or what to use. It’s usually their own kids who teach their parents. There are some schools better than others, of course.

The idea is to help those teachers by creating a newsletter on which to share tutorials and tips on how to use pieces of technology, good resources online and interviews with other teachers with best practices. We should encourage teachers to ask questions, so we can solve them on next editions of the newsletter.

A newsletter is the most basic form, every teacher has an email. But it could evolve into a website with its own YouTube channel. There are already many tutorials on YouTube so there is a lot of content we could take advantage of.
