This is part of my #productidea 30 day challenge on which each day I write about a new product idea.

This idea is a result of the Paradox of Choice. Imagine you want to buy a new TV. You start to research online, you go the mall and then you ask some friends. You will end up with 20 different models.

Within those, you could buy the SE5000 for $450 or the new model SE5100 for $550. Which one should you choose? Is it worth it the new model for $100 extra? You don’t know about technology, so you have doubts, you have too many choices, who should you trust?

This situation happened to me a year ago when I was buying a new TV. I know a bit about technology so I am familiar with acronyms and technical words, but there are way too many choices. I felt exhausted. If you are looking for a new phone or computer, it will happen the same. People are lost.

I imagine a web where we show the 3 models of TV you should buy depending on the size you need and your budget. If you need a 32'’ TV under $300, you should buy this one for these reasons. If it’s 42'’ under $400, you should buy that one for those reasons. The same with computers, phones, coffeemakers, etc.

It’s a curated shop for Amazon for the 99% of people who don’t know about technology. The Wirecutter is a webpage with a similar approach.
