“Project DELTA CMO to be a guest panelist at a UN-ESCAP event”
- Project DELTA CMO, Josh Choi, has been invited to the second session of the “Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee” to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on August 27–28.
- He will be speaking on how Project DELTA intends to solve unequal information distribution by using blockchain and AI.
If you have been following our Medium posts lately, then you already know Project DELTA CMO will participate at the Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee (AP-IS) as a guest panelist next August 27th.
AP-IS is an international conference hosted by UN-ESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) to discuss relevant issues concerning social and technological imbalance in the region’s emerging economies.
At this conference, Project DELTA will discuss how language barriers and limited access to information in the Asia-Pacific region can be overcome through our“Knowledge Hub” which employs blockchain and AI technologies. We will also discuss how to promote joint projects with the local governments.
Recent studies revealed that English accounts for more than a half of the content found on the Internet; according to Mr. Choi, if various language-based services are introduced through blockchain, it is possible to create new markets.
To this end, Project DELTA is seeking ways to favor developing countries. Nowadays, UN-ESCAP, UNESCO, and other UN agencies, as well as APT (Asia-Pacific Telecommunity), are planning to create support programs, while our project intends to facilitate this information to our Asian users and promote these projects.

“프로젝트 델타, UN-ESCAP 패널 연사로 초청”
- 2018년 8월 27일부터 28까지 태국 방콕에서 열리는 아시아-태평양 정보 초고속망 (AP-IS) 운영위원회에 프로젝트 델타 초청
- ‘프로젝트 델타’의 블록체인 및 AI 활용한 정보 불균형 해소 방안 기대
프로젝트 델타(대표 한민우)는 오는 27일 태국 방콕에서 개최되는 아시아-태평양 정보 초고속망 운영위원회(Asia-Pacific Information Superhighway Steering Committee, 이하 AP-IS) 회의에 초청 연사로 참여하기로 했습니다.
AP-IS는 UN-ESCAP(유엔 아시아-태평양 경제사회개발 기구)가 주관하는 국제회의로 아시아 태평양 지역의 디지털 격차 및 최근 부상하고 있는 경제적, 사회적 및 기술적 불평등에 대해 논의하는 자리입니다.
이번 회의에서 프로젝트 델타는 블록체인과 인공지능을 활용한 지식 플랫폼 ‘프로젝트 델타’를 통해 아시아 태평양 지역 국가들의 언어 뷸균형 해소 및 정보 접근성 향상에 대해 논의할 예정입니다. 또 아시아 태평양 국가 정부 부처와 공동프로젝트 추진 방안에 대해서도 의견을 밝힐 예정입니다.
프로젝트 델타 최지영 CMO는 “현재 영어는 인터넷상에서 사용되는 콘텐츠 언어의 절반 이상을 차지하고 있다”며 “블록체인과 인공지능을 활용해 다양한 언어 기반의 서비스가 도입된다면 인터넷 정보의 불균형을 해소하고 새로운 시장 창출이 가능할 것”이라고 말했습니다.
이를 위해 ‘프로젝트 델타’는 신흥 시장 개척을 위한 다양한 협력 방안을 모색하고 있습니다. UN-ESCAP, 유네스코 등 UN 산하 기구들을 비롯해 APT(아시아 태평양 전기통신 협의체) 등과 함께 개발도상국을 대상으로 한 지원 프로그램을 구상 중입니다.
‘프로젝트 델타’는 이들이 보유하고 있는 방대한 리포트와 지식 자료를 블록체인과 인공지능을 활용해 아시아 국가 이용자들에게 제공할 계획입니다.
