This is the third in the weekly Project Wyvern development update series. If you missed the last update, find it here.

Development

  • We’ve updated the Wyvern Exchange whitepaper with further detail on the proposed exchange protocol structure (how users will buy and sell digital assets through the Exchange). Find the latest version on Github, the updates are mostly in section 4.3
  • The Wyvern ERC20 token port will take place in less than a week (about 5000 blocks away as of this post). Follow the countdown at port.projectwyvern.com and make sure to move your Wyvern to a wallet you control prior to block 315000!
  • We’ve updated the Wyvern core code to end the blockchain at block 315000. This isn’t a mandatory upgrade — the token port procedure just requires a block snapshot — but you may find it helpful if you need to redeem many UTXOs and want to automate the process.
  • A full simulation of the ERC20 port procedure has been conducted on Ethereum’s Rinkeby testnet. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to test it out, you can redeem any Wyvern you held at block 309114 for testnet (not real) tokens at redeem.projectwyvern.com — you’ll need Metamask installed and configured for Rinkeby. Contact us if you need assistance.
  • We’re in final talks with the second auditor contracted by the Project Wyvern team to review the Wyvern Token and Wyvern DAO smart contracts. The auditor expects to finish the audit tomorrow; we don’t expect any changes to the timeline but we’ll let you know if that changes.

Community

  • MCFX2 from the Matrix chat put together a nice desktop wallpaper featuring the Project Wyvern logo; find it here.

Happy New Year: to a 2018 of usable and useful DApps!
