Meta

This is the seventh in the weekly Project Wyvern development update series. If you missed the last update, find it here.

Development

  • The Exchange alpha is running smoothly on Ethereum’s Rinkeby testnet. Play around with it at exchange.projectwyvern.com — if you need testnet Ether, message us on chat. A few UX aspects are still rough around the edges, but the core functionality is solid.
  • In response to the Rinkeby alpha Exchange testing, we’ve made a few minor changes to the Wyvern Protocol, clarifying the maker/taker distinction, simplifying call patterns, and increasing logging verbosity. Check out the latest smart contracts at github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-ethereum.
  • We’ve tweaked around the asset schema format a bit, and added schemas for Ownable smart contracts and ENS names (both on Rinkeby). See all the schemas here.

Community

  • WYV has been listed on Forkdelta, a community-maintained fork of the popular Etherdelta decentralized exchange (Etherdelta recently changed management to the chagrin of many users).
  • Later this week, we’ll be running a more formal alpha testing program with the prerelease version of the Exchange using the latest smart contracts, with small rewards in WYV for the best UI/UX suggestions and bughunting — stay tuned.
  • We’ve begun the process of finding an auditor for the Wyvern Protocol prior to mainnet release (and we’ll also run a public bug bounty, similar to the Token/DAO bounty program). If you’re interested or know someone who is, please email team@projectwyvern.com with an introduction and links to prior work or references.

Cheers!
