Meta

This is the eight in the weekly Project Wyvern development update series. If you missed the last update, find it here.

Development

  • The Exchange alpha is running on Rinkeby at exchange.projectwyvern.com —we’ve been tweaking the UI/UX over the past week and will continue to do so until mainnet launch. If you have any suggestions or bug reports, let us know!
  • We’ve released the (hopefully) final first version of the Wyvern Protocol — you can find the smart contracts at https://github.com/projectwyvern/wyvern-ethereum — and we’re running a $5K USD public bug bounty, along with a private bounty through the Solidified platform.
  • The example orderbook server has been updated; it will now identify and automatically remove orders which cannot be settled (such as a protocol user attempting to sell an asset they do not own). This isn’t required for the security of the protocol itself (the order would just fail), but it will help frontend order listings stay accurate.

Community

  • When the Exchange launches on the Ethereum mainnet in a week or two, it will support any Ethereum asset — but we’d like to streamline the UI for the most common assets, such as CryptoKitties or ENS names. If you have a suggestion, please submit the asset information as an issue on the wyvern-schemas repository. As compensation for your research, we’ll pay 10 WYV for each asset we decide to initially support (so include an Ethereum address along with your submission). Please choose assets which are clearly documented and already in active use.

Cheers!
