Greetings PW writers! We have a new monthly challenge for you here at PW. In honor of a publication that closed its doors too soon (Centina/Pentina), let’s write some microfiction!

THE CHALLENGE

Write a Centina (aka a drabble, aka 100-word story) or a Pentina (aka a dribble, aka 50-word story) using the following:

THE RULES

  1. You must be a PW writer and you must submit your piece to PW. If you are not a PW writer, you may ask to be added by going to the Submissions page and commenting there. Do not comment to be added here!
  2. Up to three (3) entries per writer. Only one (1) entry will be chosen as a winner, not all three (3).
  3. The story must be either a Centina or a Pentina — we will be checking the word count!
