“Yes,I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”
Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist

She was in love.

With the idea of it.
Where azure showers them
In abundance,
Builds her castle in air
Bricks made of dreams,
Windows gazing stars,

Moon rides the knight
Mane waving through gust
When her long curly lashes meet,
Every night.

And
Today they are stupor with,
That climb down the
Firmament,
Smell like lavender fields,
Found in the palms of the hand,
Clutched between soft fingers,
Come rushing like voracious
waves that lash on the beach,
Like the ochre beach feeling
drenched and complete,
Scattered with shells tender,
Jewelled with crumbs of dreams —

She moves slowly around
Collecting every speck of
Those —
Pieces of them build into
a whole,

Walking to the gush of gale
Fluttering her long tresses,
Clutching to her possessions
more than her fragile paws can hold,
Her musings watermarking the sand —

Where foot imprints are
Thin on those thick
Quicksand…..

“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”
John Lennon
I often wonder where our dreams, fairies and tales go when we grow up. Bitten bitter by the rocky world outside, they find solace in oblivion.

At times, it is imperative to knock that door and take refuge when sensitive cells experience constant irritation from the adulterated exterior.

As adults we need that world more than as child sometimes.

For Roselyn and her brand of VIOLET.

Thank you Ravyne Hawke Katrina D.and PROMPTY WRITTEN for giving Violet and my words a safe-house.

Thank you everyone for taking note.
