Welcome to the month of November! We are going to shake things up a bit, but then, what’s new about that, right? On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will offer poetry prompts. On Tuesday and Thursday, I will offer fiction prompts. Saturday and Sunday’s prompt will be the Weekend Challenge only. So without further adieu, let’s get on with November’s prompting!

Today’s Fiction prompt

Something huge has shown up on the radar. You decide what kind of radar, what it is, and what it wants, if anything. Write a scene or complete story.

Word Length — up to 1000 words
Restrictions — the word ‘velvet’ must fit into your story

‘Restrictions’ are to challenge you as a writer. However, with everything else here at PW, use these prompts in any way that allows the creative juices to flow.

Write promptly and enjoy! And don’t forget about the Monthly Theme!
