Welcome to the month of November! We are going to shake things up a bit, but then, what’s new about that, right? On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will offer poetry prompts. On Tuesday and Thursday, I will offer fiction prompts. Saturday and Sunday’s prompt will be the Weekend Challenge only. So without further adieu, let’s get on with November’s prompting!

Today’s Poetry prompt

Choose at least five of the following ten words and write a poem. You can use any tense of the verb/any form of the word.

tempt
inappropriate
treatment
translate
sensitive
researcher
insistence
dismissal
consciousness
isolation

Poetry Form — Any
Line Length — Any
Restrictions — One of the chosen words must be the title or a part of the title. It cannot be used in the body of the poem.

‘Restrictions’ are to challenge you as a writer. However, with everything else here at PW, use these prompts in any way that allows the creative juices to flow.

Write promptly and enjoy! And don’t forget about the Monthly Theme!
