Welcome to the month of November! We are going to shake things up a bit, but then, what’s new about that, right? On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I will offer poetry prompts. On Tuesday and Thursday, I will offer fiction prompts. Saturday and Sunday’s prompt will be the Weekend Challenge only. So without further adieu, let’s get on with November’s prompting!

Today’s Poetry prompt

Write an “either/or” poem. Either this or that. You decide what the “this” and “that” are, make the phrase the title of your poem, and then write the poem. Combinations could include “Either today or tomorrow,” “Either yes or no,” “Either fishing or bowling,” “Either cake or death” (Thanks, Eddie Izzard!), or something entirely different.

Poetry Form — Any
Line Length — Any
Restrictions — only your own imagination 😉

‘Restrictions’ are to challenge you as a writer. However, with everything else here at PW, use these prompts in any way that allows the creative juices to flow.

Write promptly and enjoy! And don’t forget about the Monthly Theme!
