Walk In The White
In and Out of Resolution
I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. I think if you want to change something, change it today and don’t wait until the New Year — Georgina Bloomberg
Then
Resolutions were flavour
of the season, —
Coming with its fervour,
anticipations, that will
change the world,
Fast-footed, nimble strides
cavorting,
Pricking thorns
darted out and thrown
to oblivion,
Never concerning to see
the garden of thorn
accumulated,
occasionally bloomed….
And
then resolutions
were meant to be broken
Mind un-caged,
Crossing the fence,
Hopping the distance,
Imaginations finding
Wings,
When have resolutions helped
to change me —
Lest the world!
Rounded and shown my
place in this gargantuan
universal scenario,
With a racing mind
and a weak soma,
Resolutions are cliche.
A few hours from now
the eastern sky will crack
from the Sydney Harbour Bridge,
Ushering in the first moments
of a slipping over….
My whatsapp messages
un-answered, “how do you
feel today, wanna go out
for some coffee at naught?”
My friend(s)with their unconditional
love envelop me…..
Seated beside my heater
wrapped in some warmth,
in my mother’s hand-knitted
quilt, with my cuppa,
Lost in my bustling world,
Soaked in festivities
Sucked out of the empty white….
My mobile reading 00:00
So, coming back to the moot
question on ‘Resolution’ —
To which
I will smile and say,
“Just Breathe”.
My New Year’s Eve sorted!
Author’s Note:
There is something very whole and empty about white.
More dark than dark, yet dazzling the world.
And my walks around the park continues…
