IT’S ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY

THE NEXT GENERATION PUBLIC BLOCKCHAIN FOR DECENTRALIZED NETWORK-AS-A-SERVICE (NaaS)

New Product! Introducing the Private Communication Services

This month, the QLC developers community debut the Private Communication Services to address the need for a secure communication platform. The Blockchain based Private Communication Service includes a blockchain-based router, the Pretty Private Router (PPR), and a messenger App, the Pretty Private Messenger (PPM) which enables private communication across the peer-to-peer (P2P) network in an untraceable manner.

The private routers construct a secure P2P network that facilitates end-to-end encrypted message and file exchange. It removes the need for a cloud service to act as an intermediary storage as well as application service provider. Therefore, files and chat history will be saved from the prying eyes of unauthorized third parties. All data is locally encrypted on the router and stored using the users’ public key on the blockchain.

Some key features of the Private Communication Services:

Secure Log-in:

  • No registration: No personal information such as phone number or email required
  • Router ID and P2P ID for identification
  • Log-in using public key

Secure Communication Tunnel:

  • P2P network tunnel
  • No cloud storage, conversations with counterparts will never be exposed to any third-party contacts
  • End-to-end encrypted communication

Anti-evil-maid Problem:

  • Anti-override on ROM
  • Router registered on the Blockchain
  • Exclusive ownership of the router

Secure Usage and Storage:

  • No cloud, encrypted local storage
  • Support file exchange
  • Unable to copy messages or take a screenshot of conversations
  • Permanent message recall

We will be initiating the pre-sale for the community soon! Make sure to follow us on Twitter, Reddit, Facebook for updates! Read more about the Private Communication Services here.

PUBLIC CHAIN DEVELOPMENT — Multidimensional Block Lattice Structure Update

We’ve launched our Wallet and Explorer to the public! Everyone now has a chance to try our Multidimensional Block Lattice structure first-hand. Share your thoughts and suggestions on our new subreddit r/QLCChain.

Last month, we invited QLC holders to experience the Multidimensional Block Lattice Structure Wallet and Explorer and received positive feedback! The Wallet and Explorer were easy to use, with a good UI and performed instant transactions. If you’re interested to learn more about what the developer team has accomplished, read our last biweekly.

Community Governance Update

Last month, the QLC team introduced a community governance programme proposal to further QLC Chain’s decentralization by consensus and open-sourced codes to the community level.

QLC holders can submit a proposal from their wallet. And one account represents one identity. The QLC Wallet that was developed on WinQ will be integrated into the QLC Chain TestNet wallet. Community members can vote for or against the proposal to decide whether the QLC team or other stakeholders should execute the proposal. To avoid a spam of proposals, proposals will need to meet the requirements listed below to be eligible for the voting list. Moreover, there will be incentives for the voters to participate.

This program will help build a QLC governing system, consisting of those who frequently contribute and participate in the decision-making process.

This month, community members have shared their proposal on r/QLCChain and upvoted for proposals that they liked. The proposals that received the most amount of upvotes during the week, was then voted on QLC Chain Telegram group. So far, the community has voted in favor of QLC Wallet for Desktop, KYC process for community governance, and WinQ for PC. If you have a proposal you would like the community to consider, make sure to share it on r/QLCChain and join the Telegram group to participate in the voting process!

EVENTS — Consensus: Singapore

The QLC team attended the inaugural Consensus: Singapore on September 19th — 20th! The team welcomed over 500 participants to the booth and introduced them to the Private Communication Services as well as the Multidimensional Block Lattice Wallet and Explorer and WinQ.

About QLC Chain
QLC Chain is the next generation public Blockchain for decentralized Network-as-a-Service(NaaS). The QLC Chain and supporting ecosystem will enable any individual, business or organization to leverage their network resources to instantly become a service provider or network operator. The mission is to bring people online through a simpler, more pleasant, and more secure way with full transparency.

It deploys a multidimensional Block Lattice architecture and uses virtual machines (VM) to manage and support integrated Smart Contract functionality. Additionally, QLC Chain utilizes dual consensus: Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and Shannon Consensus, which is a novel consensus developed by the QLC Chain team. Through the use of this dual consensus protocol and multidimensional Block Lattice architecture, QLC Chain is able to perform a high number of transactions per second (TPS), provide massive scalability and an inherently decentralized environment for NaaS related applications (dApp).
