The Game Changer…Not

From 2008–2010 an old life DIED, spectacularly and with much fanfare, vanishing with little trace. And that was NOT what changed the game.

One of the truly amusing things about it all was that “I” did not take that exit ticket. Everything else in my life gave way. I heard/felt/saw the unmistakable truth that what I had ‘come in to do’ had been accomplished. I’ve written about this elsewhere, so will only say here that everything was dissolving, including ‘everything I’d worked for in the world’ as represented by my house/home, my relationship, my bank accounts, and huge pieces of my ego/personality. Going, going, GONE. {woo hoo!}

I was free! With a cosmically lightened load I moved on, to a place in the Sierra Nevada mountains I’d always loved, into a new way of working {remotely}, a new way of everything. I remember sitting on a folding lawn chair at an improvised desk, wondering why I was still in a body on this world, and what Source had meant by that comment. What did ‘finished’ mean?

And then, it happened… the white stroke {that means my brain didn’t bleed}. I wrote the story in my book, Walk A(New)Way, and in response to a prompt on Medium the curators titled, A Brain Clot, an Orb of Light and a Question. I admit to not liking the title, but acquiesced and it was published. Amazingly, the…
