If you’re trying to do it like a porn star, chances are, you’re annoying your partner.
Why? According to licensed marriage and family therapist Natalie Finegood Goldberg, certain behaviors that you may think make you a hot commodity actually make you a bad sex partner.
One sign of a porn imitator is the tendency to be over the top during sex. This can include screaming at the top of your lungs, being overly aggressive, or bombarding your partner’s ears with dirty talk as soon as the deed gets started.
When this happens, Goldberg told me, “There is that element of being overly dramatic or overly domineering or commanding in a way that’s just disconnected with what’s happening with your partner.”
And that’s not sexy. It’s annoying. Knock it off.
