Writing about porn may sound like a dream, but for me, it was a snooze.
A tedious snooze at that.
When I landed a gig writing porn scene descriptions, I thought it would be a fun way to make money, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. At first, it was enjoyable watching free porn and writing about it. But it didn’t take long to become a drain. After all, how many ways can you describe a blow job or “He put tab A into slot B and they both came”?
Yawn.
However, the experience wasn’t all bad. I paid off a credit card, and oddly enough, this boring gig was a precursor to the sex writing I love. Like the characters in these tedious sex scenes, I got my happy ending.
