Bye Quids, Hello Quids

An update on our macOS finance app and what’s next.

Back in June 2016, we first announced Quids. For those that don’t know the history there, Quids was going to be a personal finance Mac app, connected tightly with Monzo. We shipped several early betas but later paused development while we anticipated the future of the API.

Fast-forward to 2018 and everyone knows what a Bitcoin is. Having caught the cryptocurrency bug ourselves over a year ago, our plans have turned towards the crypto community and we’re now preparing to launch our contribution to that expanding ecosystem.

So with all that said, we’re happy to introduce you to… Quids, again.

Quids will become the cryptocurrency manager for your Mac. For now we’re concentrating on supporting Coinbase, but support for Binance will follow and potentially more as we see demand.

We’ve been working on Quids during weekends and evenings over the past couple weeks, and are now very close to being able to release an initial beta.
