Connect to Reality Cards using Blank Wallet
On Reality Cards, your wallet is your identity. Whether it’s a plain address or an ENS, the ownership of a Card is always tied to your wallet. As a player, you need to feel in control of your funds all the time. But how about privacy?
Starting today we are adding support for Blank Wallet: the most private, non-custodial crypto wallet!
This addition is not accidental. Until today, we promoted MetaMask as the main wallet to use. While we are still aware of its popularity and advantages, we need to accept its complexity when it comes to privacy.
As a prediction market, Reality Cards wants to continue promoting one of the most powerful aspects of a borderless, open market where anyone can participate with no restriction.
However, how non-custodial wallets are offering you full control over your funds but leave the responsibility of handling your own security, in the same way, trading privately is up to you as well. On-chain security is not an easy task and even the most tech-savvy people are finding it troublesome.
If you follow our latest updates, we are all about improving your experience, making it easier for you to make your predictions, and, ultimately, making it fun!

How to use Blank Wallet with Reality Cards
Once you have the Blank Wallet Chrome Extension installed, you will be prompted to set up your wallet. Following the instructions, you will find yourself with a wallet ready to use!
Before being able to predict on Reality Cards, you need to fund your wallet with some MATIC and enough USDC for your rentals. The USDC transferred needs to be on the Polygon network! If you don’t see your newly transferred funds, make sure your wallet network is set to Polygon Mainnet.
Now that you are all set, you can head to realitycards.io and prepare yourself for your first rental!
Hit Connect Wallet to link your Blank Wallet to Reality Cards
You will be prompted to choose your desired wallet. Click on the Blank Wallet logo.
Choose the address you want to connect and click Next.
You are connected!
Now you need to make your first deposit. Click on your deposit balance (which should be 0 if this is the first time you are connecting this wallet to Reality Cards)
You will open the Deposit modal where you can choose the amount you want to deposit. This is the USDC amount!
Hit Deposit on Polygon and follow the instructions from the transaction modal and your Blank Wallet.
First, you need to Approve the amount you want to deposit (standard approval transaction before you can deposit a token)
Blank Wallet will help you identify the type of transaction (Approve) and the website it’s coming from (https://realitycards.io) for your security.
The second transaction is the actual deposit transaction (possible only after you approved the amount to spend)
Once confirmed you will see your deposit balance updated.
Now it’s time to make your first rental!
Head to Events and check the Open events. It’s your choice which one you feel confident in making a prediction on. They are all coming with a chance to win a share of the pot and an NFT if you guess right!
Next, you need to make a choice between the possible outcomes.
In this example, the question refers to the CyberKongz NFT collection and it’s asking about the price of the NFTs with the “Genesis” property. The prediction is based on what will the price floor be (the cheapest NFT) on January, 5th.
The possible choices are “Below 50 ETH” and “50 ETH or above”
If you are not sure, consult the event description by clicking on the Description icon:
Once you made your choice you can quickly rent one of the Cards for the minimum price by hitting the Rent button!
You will be prompted with a New Rental transaction to confirm. Make sure to follow the instructions from the transaction modal and your Blank Wallet.
Once successful you can choose to go to your profile or close the modal.
Congratulations, you are now an owner!
Your ownership is temporary and the rental rate will be gradually deducted from your deposit based on the price you are paying. In this case, 5.77 USDC per hour. Your ownership is temporary because while the event is open, anyone can take away the Card from you by paying a higher price.
Let’s say if someone will take away the Card from you after 10 minutes you are going to pay rent only for 10 minutes (in this case, at the current hourly price, less than $1)
All players are fighting for the ownership of their preferred prediction, by renting, placing bids, strategically exiting their position, just to be able to accumulate more time and at a cheaper price than other players.
Each Card has a leaderboard where you can see your progress. At the end of the event, all players who guessed right are collecting winnings are possibly winning an NFT. Currently, the Top-10 players of the winning Card are getting NFT!
