At Recruitee, we want to inspire conversations and spark initiatives that support Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace.

I’d like to share what we’re doing to address honestly and head-on the needs of our Recruitee team and help increase equality for all through our newly formed Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

We believe that Diversity & Inclusion is a journey, not a destination. We want to improve continuously by creating an environment where all our employees can be themselves, be heard, and be impactful.

To ensure we keep it at the forefront of everything we do, we recently launched our first-ever Diversity & Inclusion Committee to bring forth conversations and actions that challenge the status quo.

To reach this significant milestone, we started our journey with the help of a Diversity & Inclusion expert. We knew we didn’t have all the answers, which is why we decided to use an external trainer to help us identify areas of concern. To kick-off, she interviewed our People Team and some of our employees.

We wanted to understand how all of our Recruitees felt about their experiences. As a follow-up, we ran a company-wide Diversity & Inclusion survey. This feedback has been invaluable to us and helped us craft our Inclusion roadmap for this year and next.

To ensure this roadmap succeeds, we formed our first-ever Diversity & Inclusion Committee. It comprises employees from all levels (leadership, entry-level, team leads, etc.) across our offices in The Netherlands, Poland, and the USA.

The members meet bi-weekly and are tasked with several key actions to set up a healthy foundation. They arrange training and workshops to enhance awareness in the workplace.

At the same time, they focus on creating a safe space where co-workers can engage in conversations. To ensure that Diversity & Inclusion is top of mind for our team growth, the Committee reviews and documents policies that ensure equal hiring and onboarding for all.

We recognize that we have a long way to go, and we believe these are essential steps in the right direction.

We vow to continue to do more, act more, and be honest in our approach to Diversity and Inclusion.
