Reinventing 24sata, again and again…
It’s my fourth redesign of 24sata.hr ... And I can hardly wait.
The baby is in the oven. And there is no greater joy for a product manager. At full speed, our designers, back-end, front-end and mobile developers are ‘burning rubber’ to create the new 24sata.hr.
This time we are doing it on all platforms, at once — web, iOS and Android. It is a massive undertaking by any means.
Buzzwords that are commonly used to describe concepts are becoming a reality for us in 2020 — automation, standardization, design systems, user engagement, programmatic and DMPs, Single Page Applications, native and video are all part of this project.
We decided it was time to share our vision for 24sata in the next few years in order to give a glance into a truly special project, in our opinion, unique in regional and cutting edge in the European media landscape.
With this series of stories we hope to give deeper insight for people working on the project, employees, media experts, product managers, media executives, journalists and others, and of course, but not least, our users.
We are ready to open our processes and way of thinking to other media as well, to share experiences especially on topics that are relevant to the future of media, like the role of media in the new decade, technology, subscriptions, machine learning and AI as the necessary tools that will enhance our ability to stay relevant, survive and reduce the technological gap between us and the tech giants of the Silicon Valley.
Another reason is to be transparent to our own employees and our partners is a value that we hold dear if alignment is to be made throughout the organization.
As product managers, Mirjana Križan and myself are here to catch the essence of the company vision and strategy which we will write about in this series and to make products that bring value to our users and to the company.
