With November fading fast and set to be written into the history books, it’s time to recap everything that’s been happening since we last caught up. It’s fair to say that everyone in the crypto space has experienced a wild rocket ride these last few weeks, with Bitcoin hitting record highs, institutional money pouring in and all manner of other drama.

We’re pleased to report we’ve had less distracting drama to attend to in our corner of the community: the developments emanating from REMME HQ have been universally positive rather than disruptive. Read on to discover the highlights from what’s been another exhilarating and action-packed month in our world.

Say hello to Whitepaper 2.0

November was the month when we finally released the second iteration of our white paper. We agonized over every last sentence, period and turn of phrase, because we wanted to get this perfect — or at least as close to perfect as is possible. You can read the new improved REMME Whitepaper here in all its full colour glory.

In it you’ll learn:

  • A detailed overview of the pain points affecting network security today
  • How we intend to implement certificate management on the blockchain
  • A complete list of certificate issuance and management options available to REMME clients
  • A breakdown of system architecture and token model
  • Full diagrams and schematics of how REMME’s blockchain-based platform will work
  • Two-year roadmap

We’d encourage you to peruse it at your leisure and then join us on this journey.

Our GitHub sees some action

Our public GitHub repository was brought up to date in November as we uploaded components that formed part of the beta version 2 of the security management system we’ve built on the Bitcoin blockchain. Specifically, we’ve tested and now added a shell script that creates a digitally signed certificate for REMME plus a Django integration module. More technically-minded readers are welcome to inspect the latest code in our GitHub repository.

REMME joins forces with Depositphotos

One of the best things about the passwordless authentication system we’re building is its versatility. Although inspired by the cyber threats faced by firms in charge of critical network infrastructure, we’ve developed REMME to benefit companies from all sectors. As evidence of that, we’re pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Depositphotos. The company will trial our authentication system as a means of safeguarding its employees’ personal details.

A warm welcome to some new faces

We’re very happy to introduce the latest members of the REMME team. Jan has now joined our core team and we’ve also expanded our legal team as we gear up for our Initial Software Offering. Gordon Einstein has now come onboard as a legal advisor. Speaking of warm welcomes, we’re also delighted to say hello to over 40 companies who have subscribed to our 2018 Pilot Program. Like you, we can’t wait to get this thing kick-started. Check the team updates on the website here.

Latest community news

A few weeks ago we announced the launch of REMME Family, our community program. More than 200 participants have signed up already for our “Proof-of-Support” program. It’s a means of uniting and reward community participants who actively take part in project growth and help REMME become even better.

There’s still time to join in and benefit from everything that comes with REMME Family. Contact us on Telegram to find out more and then show your support by writing a blog post, reviewing our project, making a YouTube video, supporting REMME on social media with tweets or Facebook posts, or by any other creative way. Here’s some examples of what our community have been upto this month:

Website updates and ICO Alert report and rating

This month we substantially updated our token sale landing page. If you’ve yet to pay it a visit, do so now and bask in its beauty. While you’re there, check out the explainer video and overview on how REMME works. We’ve designed it in such a way as to be easily understandable to anyone, regardless of their technical background.

Meanwhile, the influential ICO Report has published a report and rating of the REMME token sale. It contains key findings on what REMME is and how the Initial Software Offering will work. Anyone considering getting involved in our pre-sale would do well to check it out for their own information and peace of mind.

What the world has to say about REMME

Finally, we’ll leave you with a few tidbits from the world of REMME. Our CEO Alex has been keeping busy as always, participating in a panel discussion at the fifth annual European Cyber Security Conference.

There was no time to rest after that, as Alex was then on to conferences in Riga, Consensus: Invest in New York and then Blockchain Expo North America in Santa Clara.

While Alex was spreading the word about REMME in meatspace, in the digital domain we were getting press coverage in Irish Tech News, which ran an informative Q&A about what we’re upto and how REMME came about. Our CBDO Jan Keil also provided a video interview which can be viewed here on ICO Talk TV.

With our pre-sale just days away, it’s safe to say that December’s shaping up to be every bit as busy. We wouldn’t have it any other way though. Keep in touch on social media, where we look forward to bringing you all the latest developments from the world of REMME.
