We are what we repeatedly do. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time.

This post is part of my Re Human project.

Daily Habits

Books: Today I started and finished Peak Performance. These are my top 3 favorite notes:

Physical fatigue occurs in the brain.

Night owls (people) are more focused at night BUT more creative in the morning. Viceversa for larks (most people).

Even just looking at pictures nature brings the benefits of being in nature.

Full notes here:

Meditation: did 20minutes in the morning.

Digital Drawing: Today I read the “part 2” article of the drawing exercises by Ralp Ammer, a guy I recently discovered and I’m loving his explanations on drawing. Didn’t feel like doing the exercises he presented and instead drew this:

probably inspired by my subconscious — me just trying to think of things, recursively

Piano: Continued practicing this left-hand accompaniment:

and coupled it with some right-hand patterns.

Can’t really do both well at the same time — yet.

Re Human Extended Activity: On Mondays I’m a VR Artist.

Did some research on companies building VR experiences for education. I think this space (VR) and application (education) will blend pretty well. Apart from http://www.classvr.com, which doesn’t seem super amazing, there’s a couple of cool independent experiences here and there that are cool (some of Google’s), but no one unified “school” yet 🤔.

The VR schools from Ready Player One sounded pretty cool.

Also checked out this app https://thunkable.com, technically not VR, but also one of those “builders” of programmable media, this one focused on mobile apps. I built something simple — dragged some buttons around and used their text to speech integration. I’d guess they’re converting the apps into React Native apps since they work for both iOS and Android.

Writing: This post, journaling (day and night), and my book review post.

Fitness: Today I trained legs. And human flag push-ups, handstands, and one set of wide pull-ups.

Soccer trick juggling: Today I practiced hop the world and around the world. Didn’t get more than two in a row for either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Random Surprise

My notes on why doing “30-second takeaways” is a great habit. Different from note-taking.
