Re-inventing ourselves is the most important skill nowadays. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time. This post is part of my Re Human project.

Daily Habits

Re Human Extended Activity: Mondays is VR Artist & Architect and Digital Drawing & Painting.

VR Artist & Architect

My library is coming along..

Been thinking of ways to load the images and automatically place them in a reasonable place without having to do it all manually.

In my previous 3D visualization of some books I recommend, what I did was make a Trello board where I could easily add a new card, add an image, and my 3D visualization would automatically fetch all the cards and present them as books (power of code). Thinking of doing something similar.

Digital Drawing and Painting.

Re-did the all-cartoon one because the last one I did was kind of bad. I like this one more. Something that was helpful was just create a new layer and draw on top of the previous one.

Which one do you like more? Trying to decide which one to use for a blogpost I’m writing.

Books: I’ve been listening to The Dream Machine. Some notes from today:

Graphics are critical to computer human symbiosis because we think in images and symbols.

Alan Kay says he doesn’t distinguish between art and science.

Simple things should be simple and complex things should be possible.

Writing: This post, code, and a daily thought.

Fitness: My warmup, chest, handstands, human flag practice.

Meditation: 20mins w Muse headband.

Piano: Been learning La La Land’s Sebastian and Mia’s theme!

Today I finally felt what people say “playing piano is relaxing”. All the days before I’ve felt it as a stretch — I’ve really had to focus and it has felt hard to play the notes right, probably because I’ve been going through courses — so as long as I progress and I’m getting comfortable, there’s a new part / new difficulty to learn right away. It had been the same for the past two days with La La Land’s song, but today muscle memory (actually just brain memory — I read somewhere it’s just the brain) did its magic and I remembered the part I’m currently learning much more. So the notes weren’t super spaced out — I could finally hear the melody flowing, which probably also caused the feeling of relaxation!

Soccer trick juggling: Today I didn’t see much progress.

Connections, takeaways and Ideas for tomorrow

“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
