Re-inventing ourselves is the most important skill nowadays. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time. This post is part of my Re Human project.

Today I met the Notion founders (and team) for lunch. It’s a “tool for thought” I really like, I’d recommend checking it out.

Daily Habits

Books: Today I finished The Dream Machine. Then I started Atomic Habits by James Clear (a great blogger). Some notes from today:

CERN physicist created hyperlinks in the web. Such a simple idea that changed everything. Went from a communication device to a Place — an almost tangible reality you could explore and share.

In the future we will be able to communicate better through computers than in person.

When Licklider was about to die, he asked for a pen.

You should be more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results.

Habits don’t restrict freedom, they create it. Without good financial, health, learning, and productivity habits, you lose freedom.

Writing: This post, code, and a daily thought.

Re Human Extended Activity: Wednesdays is Salsa.

I think next Wednesday I’m going to go to the Intermediate class — today I felt like I outgrew the Beginner class already.

Fitness: My warmup, triceps, handstands, human flag practice. My fingers hurt from doing handstands.

Meditation: 20mins in the morning, no Muse headband today.

Piano: Been learning La La Land’s Sebastian and Mia’s theme! Once you learn a section, new sections are easier because you “understand” the feeling of the notes.

Soccer trick juggling: Right at the end of today I was able to do two around the worlds without the ball falling to the ground in the middle of them! But it wouldn’t have happened if there weren’t walls close to me because the ball touched the walls and prevented it to go far and out of control. I specifically chose the environment I’m practicing because of this — having 4 walls close to me means the ball doesn’t go far and I can practice without many interruptions. Our environment is very influential.

Connections, takeaways and Ideas for tomorrow

Seeing Is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees” — the title of a book about Robert Irwin (an LA artist).

Writing in the morning is good.
