RequestBox Version 3.0
Hi everyone!
When we first announced our roadmap last year, we gave a glimpse of how we wanted to bring the focus back to the core idea of RequestBox: Song requests. Since then, we’ve built on our experiences over the years and gathered valuable feedback from our users to work on what is a complete overhaul of RequestBox. And we are very proud to announce that Version 3.0 of RequestBox is now live on Google Play and the App Store. The best version yet! With a new logo, fresh look, new features and much more.
The new look
With this version we wanted to focus on simplicity and ease of use. So we went back to the drawing board and redesigned RequestBox from the ground up. The app has an all new home screen where users can access all the core features within a single tap’s reach. Users can quickly search for an open box, find other users, create their own boxes, see their friend’s open boxes and even find their recently visited boxes all directly from the home screen!
Guest accounts
Users can now drop song requests without registration! RequestBox now includes guest accounts, allowing your guests to skip account creation and go straight to requesting. Guest accounts can search for open boxes, request songs and vote on other requests just like a normal account. All users need to do is download the app and select continue as guest. Its that simple :)
Personalized boxes
We have added new features to further personalize your box. Hosts can now choose exactly how many hours they would like their box open for. Between 4 to 48 hours long. Once the box has expired, they are still easily accessible on the host’s profile so you can find that funky tune you liked.
Another new feature is pin codes. Hosts can now set pin codes so only guests with the code can access your box for added privacy and security. And finally, hosts can personalize their box with GIFs. With the help of GIPHY, hosts can now set GIFs as cover photos for their box and set the mood for your party!
