Immigration Officer
The World of the Poor Mans Badge
Give a lower class man a badge
And he will abuse the position of
Responsibility rings true
Around the world.
To come from a place
Of humble beginnings, then
To subject those of the same
Humble beginnings
The wrath of power abused
Is in reality, playing into
The hands of those
One can not possibly
Sit at the same table and dine with,
Let alone converse on the same
Debauched affluent level.
So why the need to exercise
The power granted to thee by
Those of a social standing
So much higher than thee?
To belittle those who go home to families
Just the same as thee;
Because thee has a badge
Of abused authoritee.
Shame on thee with
An air of self-impotence,
More shame on thee who demand
Money to do their work with authoritee.
Ahhh, you are not a public servant!
You are the servant of your government
And would do best to remember
A servant is thee
Maybe herein lies the problem
Dear pompous servant to thee.
