RightMesh Bi-Weekly Update: July 27
Dear community, today, we are finally able to share the full details of what happened between pausing the RightMesh TGE in March through til now. Here we also answer your questions on listing RightMesh tokens on bigger exchanges, if we will be engaging the services of a “liquidity provider”, and the current token price?
Please read on for the full story of the pausing of the TGE, rescheduling the final TGE round, public distribution of RMESH tokens, unlocking the tokens, and our activities (or perceived lack of activity) since then.
Thank you for your patience during the past few months as we worked tirelessly with regulators. We are so excited to be able to share these details with you today. Onwards and upwards.

Our Lessons Learned on ICO Governance and Regulatory Restrictions
“Last night, RightMesh, a Swiss company, submitted the final few “exempt distribution reports” with the British Columbia Securities Commission (the BCSC) in Canada. These “exempt distribution reports” were a necessary step in the Canadian securities law compliance process of the RightMesh TGE, which included a reliance by RightMesh on a Canadian securities law prospectus exemption set out in British Columbia Instrument 72–503 — Distribution of Securities Outside BC (BCI 72–503).
Completing this process also means we are [finally!] at liberty to provide greater clarity on the pausing of the RightMesh TGE as first announced on March 26, 2018 and its subsequent restarting with the public distribution on May 30/31, 2018 and the unlocking of the tokens on June 29, 2018. This also relates to our activities (or perceived lack of activity) since that date.”
Please read John Lyotier, RightMesh CEO’s, article here for the a full overview and to have your questions answered such as:
- Will you list RightMesh tokens on a bigger and better exchange?
- Will you engage the services of a “liquidity provider”?
- Will you ‘market’ your token?
- What about the current token price?
- Can you talk about team token trading and policies?

Tech
Our tech team has been updating the RightMesh end-to-end data transmission protocol to improve the network performance. The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is not usable in the RightMesh Project. TCP is built on top of the Internet Protocol (IP) where every node in the network is addressed by a unique IP Address. However, in the RightMesh network, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi direct hotspots do not have unique IP addresses and Bluetooth devices do not have an IP Address at all. TCP is good for communicating when there is always a stable single-hop link from a data source to a destination, which is not realistic in RightMesh where the network topology is constantly changing. As a result, we implemented our own RightMesh-TCP to achieve the objective of reliable end-to-end data transmission.
With our updated RightMesh-TCP we are seeing much faster and more consistent speeds than we have been seeing in previous months, enabling us to send larger payloads like images. The improvement is achieved by the following two changes in our TCP protocol. Firstly, we added a maximum size for the data packets buffer on the sender’s side. Initially, the buffer size was unlimited and would cause problems such as too many packets being queued up in the buffer to send. This would overwhelm the network, and the receiver would not get a chance to acknowledge the received packets, while the sender keeps retransmitting the same packet again and again. Secondly, we implemented a fast-recovery mechanism into our design inspired by the idea behind TCP-Reno .
Beyond this our developers have been working hard on the structure of the library and our development tools, helping us move faster. and grow our team. If you’re interested in working to connect the next billion, check out rightmesh.io/careers.
