Stick To Your New Year Goals

It’s a new year and the start of a new decade, don’t be the only one without a plan to conquer your goals.

I will be discussing:

1. Give Your Goals a Due Date
2. Incorporate Monthly or Weekly Checks In’s
3. Make a Realistic Goal & A Best You Goal

And be sure to read my last blog on “Book Review: Get More Done In A Day” & “FREE Download: January 2020 Desktop Wallpapers”.

If I could some up this book into one word it would have to be the word Dream: a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal for what their life will be and look like.

1. Give Your Goals a Due Date

In order to reach your goals in a year you have to get focused and set a deadline, yes I know the year has 365 days but these days will entice us to procrastinate. Start by using tools like Google Calendar and Asana to break your goal into smaller projects that can push towards achieving your bigger goal.

The sooner we are able to take action and complete a goal we can easily start a new goal to completely change our lives. This allows you to really zone in what exactly you want to achieve and to eliminate distractions that can take you off your path to success. A goal without a timeline is just a dream, you can even try to conquer a goal every month or quarter.

2. Incorporate Monthly or Weekly Checks In’s

Use monthly or weekly check in’s to ensure you are on the right track of reaching your goal when you’re having a hard time staying on track. You can look over your Vision board and even create a list of reasons for why you started in the first place.

These check in’s will allow you to strategize your next move to truly conquer your goals. And give you the insight to avoid mistakes and setbacks that make us stray. Get serious and set an appointment for this time of reflection, we only fail when we stop trying.

3. Make a Realistic Goal & A Best You Goal

No matter what your goals maybe make sure that they are realistic, now I’m not saying they aren’t possible but goals can’t be accomplished overnight. There will be days where you make mistakes but we must make sure that we recover from it no matter what.

You can still have goals that are bigger than those around you could ever think of, but make sure you tell someone that supports you completely. People often doubt us because they see who we are in the present not who we are becoming in the future.

Create a realistic goal as well as the best version of you performing that goal, the person who doesn’t make mistakes but instead makes results. This is how you can become the person aspire to be, by not being so hard yourself when you make a mistake. Understanding that the year will pass no matter what, it’s important that we take advantage of every single day in this 365 day year.
