Imperfectly Perfect

Judgemental eyes tracking,
Do you all know you are the same?
Filled with hurt and un-authentic empathy,
punishing others for the cards you’ve been dealt.

I’ve known many stories,
I’ve lived through hardship’s storms.
My heart still filled with compassion,
for even the most horrible of souls.

Whilst others watch and judge me,
I may sometimes shed a tear,
not because it hurts me,
because kindness has disappeared.
