OFF BEAT
What if a writer could write about anything that moved them? The assumption is that this is what writers always do, but the reality is often something different. Often pigeonholed by editors, magazines, and sometimes even themselves, some writers are infrequently given the chance to deviate from their beat. Iranian-American author Porochista Khakpour realized this trend, and OFF BEAT was born - a place for writers to explore topics outside of their typical beat.
