Update 19/APRIL/2021:

You may have been wondering about what will happen to the remaining premium LANDs once the timer runs out in a little bit less than 48h.

Once the timer reaches 00:00:00h, all remaining Premium LANDs will be converted into regular LANDs and become available 24h later. NFTs that were previously bundled with the LAND will be burned and become unavailable forever. This means that the total available scarcity of all NFTs will change, for those who have already acquired them.

The sale of the remaining LANDs will launch 24h after the end of the current sale on April 22nd — 1 pm UTC. The cost for 1 LAND will be 1,011 $SAND.

Bringing you closer to exclusive partners, who recently joined The Sandbox’s metaverse, we are excited to launch our next LAND sale, April 14th. A unique opportunity to join this innovator’s circle by acquiring one of many premium LANDs close to their ESTATEs owned by Bill Lee, Ken Howery, Galaxy Interactive, Tyler & Cameron Winklevoss, Gemini Frontier Fund, Nifty Gateway, Chris Ye, Avenged Sevenfold, and others are the latest editions to our world.

Each premium LAND will come with a selection of unique, exclusively-designed NFT, giving you the possibility to build experiences, invite users and monetize your experiences in the future inside the virtual world of The Sandbox. Below you find all the information on how you can join, and become an innovator yourself!

  • This LAND sale follows our recent Innovator announcement of new partners joining the metaverse
  • A total of 1,874 Premium LANDS will be available for direct purchase
  • Each Premium LAND will include 3 of 9 epic NFTs, exclusively designed for this innovator Sale
  • 13 ESTATES (3x3) will be for sale on the map directly
  • 19 ESTATES (13 Medium, 6 Large) will be on auction via OpenSea
  • The OpenSea auctions will run for 24h only!

Before we get into the details, first things first, if this is your first LAND sale, or its been a while since you participated, these articles will be helpful:

To buy a LAND, you will need to follow these 3 steps:

1. Set up your wallet

2. Get $SAND

3. Buy LAND on The Sandbox map (Make sure you are there on time!)

4. Important: We will disable account creation during the LAND sale so make sure to create your account, if you haven't already done so.

The Content: Premium LANDS & ESTATES

Up for grabs this time around is a total of 1,874 Premium LANDS, each including 3 of 9 unique NFTs. The distribution of NFTs is random, meaning if you want to get the combination of your preferred NFTs (see below for visuals) you’d have to find the Premium LAND containing the wished collection.

1,874 Premium LANDs (including 3 Epic NFTs each) will be available for 4,683 SAND

Additionally to those LANDs will be several ESTATES, 13 of which, will be available for SAND directly on the map. Those ESTATES will have a 5% discount computed to the individual LAND price, but won’t include any NFTs.

13 ESTATES (3x3) will be available for 8,636 SAND each

Epic NFTs included

Each Premium LAND will include 3 exclusive NFTs, which haven’t been released so far and will be exclusive to this sale only. You can see the NFT included on each LAND when clicking on it on the map view, to be able to plan your purchase well ahead. However, be aware, those LANDs will go quickly so don’t think too long!

ENTITY

Also included will be one of the following three ENTITIES.

Each ENTITY can be used to decorate your game experience, bring new life to your LAND, or build completely new ways of enjoying The Sandbox. Why not jump in your Avenged Sevenfold flying Bat car and explore the LAND?

Each ENTITY NFT will be limited to 650 copies only.

EQUIPMENT

Finally, one of the two below pieces will be the final NFT included in each Premium LAND.

EQUIPMENT can be used to put on your Avatar and give game experiences a new twist! Both EQUIPMENT pieces are limited to 1000 copies only.

Have you made your choice? Then head to the map, and make sure to choose the right Premium LAND to choose. The final map will become visible shortly before the sale.

About the auctions

  • The auction-style of sale will be part of this wave once again.
  • A total of 13x Estates M (6x6) and 6x Estates L (12x12) will be available during this round and will be sold in auction on OpenSea.
  • The ESTATE won't have any of the above NFT included.
  • The auction will follow the same principle that was set for our UNICEF charity auction.
  • Users will be able to freely place their bids starting from Wednesday, April 14th at 1 PM UTC and for an auction duration of 24 hours.
  • Each ESTATE will have a floor price depending on its size.
  • Bidders will have the choice to place a bid on any and every ESTATE they wish to acquire.
  • Each bidder will have to outbid the subsequent bidder (place a higher bid than the previous one) to have a chance at winning the ESTATE.
  • The final winner will be the one that has the highest bid by the end of the auction.

The highest bidders for each ESTATE will be validated and contacted to receive their winnings after the auction has passed.

How to claim your ESTATE?

Once the auction ends, the highest bidders of each auction will receive an NFT from OpenSea. This NFT acts as a redeemable ticket, proof that you are indeed the winner of the auction.

The next step will be to send us an email at contact@sandbox.game and we will give you directions to send the NFT to The Sandbox wallet address. In return, we will mint and send the LANDS matching the ESTATE won.

What are Premium LANDS?

A Premium LAND is a single parcel of LAND that features specific characteristics, including Premium ASSETS. They will appear as Yellow LANDS on the map and are defined by two main characteristics:

  • Premium Location: Each Premium LAND is located close to either a Partner, an IP, or a TSB Estate. These locations are highly likely to attract more visitors thanks to partner visibility as well as the Transportation System and the recently introduced Portals:
  • Premium ASSETS: Premium LANDs are pre-assigned with a bundle of exclusive ASSETS to kickstart game creation. When purchasing a Premium LAND, buyers will also receive 3 premium ASSETS.

Each Premium LAND includes 1 ART, 1 ENTITY, and 1 EQUIPMENT NFT. Each ASSET will showcase a unique set of attributes, behavior, and skins, all of which have a limited scarcity.
