About
Sankofa Journeys with The Griffin
A personal yet public attempt to re-education myself in the richness of the continent of immeasurable wealth of resources, history, and potential. Through the exploration of historical and current events, I reclaim part of myself & history: my Sankofa journey.
Note from the editor

Africa is often referred to as “The Motherland” by African-Americans. It is the holy grail for those of us who desire to discover our complicated pasts and to forge a connection to our ancestors and cultures severed by time, space, and circumstances. The aim is to uncover events that shaped nations and the people who have been previously overlooked and oftentimes misrepresented.
