Welcome to the Scoro Engineering Blog
After our first post on April 1st, it’s time to take things a bit more seriously and use this opportunity to introduce us, this blog and our goal with it. Sit tight, grab a cup of coffee and share this journey with us.
Scoro is a growing 130-person Work and Time Management focused SaaS company founded in Tallinn, Estonia, with offices in several countries and customers all around the globe. However, the intention of this blog is not to talk about Scoro as such (we have another blog for this), but about how we are doing things at Scoro, specifically in Engineering or around Engineering.
In this blog we will be talking about technology, software development, quality, infrastructure, automation, UI/UX… but also about decisions and experiences (the good and the bad ones), ways of working, frameworks, practices and tools, people and, indeed, about our product and customers as well.
Currently we have about 40 people in our Engineering team and everyone who you will hear from in this blog is contributing to our Engineering motto in one way or another:
We make dreams come true.
We are on a very interesting journey, from a small start-up to a scale-up. On this journey we are modernizing our technology and architecture, adapting and improving our ways of working, all the while serving our customers in the best possible way. This is not an easy journey, but it is ours and we are planning to enjoy every single step of it. The end goal will change as we go, and the closer we get to it, the more ambitious it will grow. Therefore, you could say that the end goal isn’t the most important thing, but the journey itself: the things we learn and the experiences we gain as we walk through it.
We will experiment, we will fail, we will learn, we will adapt and we will improve. And we will share it all.
