Seed Weekly #23 — Multiple rounds across Israel, India and Singapore, UK remains quiet
As you may (or may not) have noticed, there was no Seed Weekly edition last week. For now, it will be the Seed Bi-Monthly, owing to the lack of funding announcements currently.
Highlights of the last 2 weeks funding rounds:
- 🇨🇭 Aktiia was the largest round of the week, with over $6m raise. The company has developed a smart bracelet which can track users blood pressure 24/7.
- 🇬🇧Claimer raised $350k from angels (including former Index Partner Ben Holmes) and TrueSight Ventures, to help companies claim their R&D tax credits in the U.K. TechCrunch has more here.
- 🇮🇱 Pruvo enables travellers to save up to 70% on their hotel reservations through re-booking mechanics.
- 🇮🇳 rePurpose Global raised just over $150k from Pear Ventures for its plastic offsetting service for businesses and consumers. (Similar to Project Wren).
