Sage Advice: Why isn’t Agile working?
Our favorite posts this week included a challenge to agile from John Cutler in Why isn’t Agile Working? John says it only works when used as a catalyst for continuous improvement. He makes the case that impediments like flow efficiency, unplanned work, and unmanaged complexity will chip away at the benefits agile is supposed to deliver. It does have its upside though, as long as you’re prepared to put in real time and effort on addressing those impediments.
@TariqValente focused on how building the right combination of APIs is key to achieving KPI success in, particularly where contact centres are concerned. We’ve looked at the importance of strong customer service before in this series (See David Ryan’s article on the importance of product documentation). Strong feedback loops and continuous cycles of improvement are foundational to our product at Seerene, so Tariq’s article hit the spot.
We’re also giving a nod this week to @GreylockVC for their work on What Keeps CIOs Up At Night. The list includes major trends that CIOs everywhere are trying to address, such as migration to the cloud, data aggregation, security, and machine learning. CIOs are always top of mind for us. We’d love to know what else you think should be on their list. Anything missing?
