📝 Weekly Progress Update — 2 to 8 July 2018

A. Technical development

CrossPay Mobile App Development

Our joint project with the Myanmar Government has been a strong motivation for our upcoming July 15 app sprint release. This release incorporates important features such as:-

(a) Localisation of CrossPay to include Zawgyi and Unicode Language options, which is greatly appreciated by the department of LVBD (Livestock Veterinary and Breeding) as they can use the CrossPay app with in ease and comfort of their native language. With this we foresee a greater level of app acceptance by our target audience.

(b) Implementation of geolocation capture, to capture location of livestock at the time of attester verification and approval. Previously. the livestock location was tied to the home address of the livestock owner and not the actual farm address of the livestock.

(c) Implementation of time stamp update during Livestock Identity creation and verification. This helps us in future transaction audits.

(d) Improvement of app performance, to work seamlessly through inconsistent internet connectivity. We have implemented offline caching of the livestock details

(e) Incorporation of national standard compliance livestock vaccination-related questions into CrossPay app version 1.11 following review by the department of LVBD (Livestock Veterinary and Breeding).

(f) Inclusion of underwriting questionnaire for cattle insurance to provide additional livestock related support information for Myanma Insurance.

(g) Development of Azure Web Service, a new proxy web app to access the private key to sign transaction through the Azure Key Vault. This implementation makes the key management process highly secure.

CrossPay Web Admin Portal Development

We have kick-started development of the CrossPay web admin portal. This portal is designed for stakeholders to track and review CrossPay App’s usage and transactions.

Key benefits:

1. Myanmar Livestock Veterinary and Breeding Department (LVBD), using geolocation, can retrieve the list of unvaccinated livestock. This will enable them to increase their vaccination coverage. Increasing vaccination coverage is one of the primary goals of LVBD towards cattle welfare.
2. Myanma Insurance will be able to obtain the status of livestock verification in real-time. Currently in discussion with Myanma Insurance to include premium payment feature into the CrossPay app — this allows Myanma insurance to view the premium payment status report through the admin portal.

Sentinel Chain Development

(a) We have started testing our newly created RPC server to integrate with MetaMask and MyEtherWallet. We have successfully connected one of our nodes with both projects and we have performed SENC to SENI (Sentinel Internal currency) transfers between the both.

(b) We have successfully created docker images of different types of nodes that will be useful for the node deployment, and support the connectivity to the chain from an agent’s perspective.

(c) We are making good progress on the development of different types of oracle services. We have started development of two types of schemes:

• Sentinel Chain backend to provide real time information from fiat to crypto exchange rate; and
• Oraclize’s backend to provide real time information from fiat to crypto exchange rate through Oraclize Ethereum bridge that is connected to Sentinel Chain

(d) We have also successfully completed testing of Sentinel Chain bridges which have interconnected flows.

B. Country updates

Myanmar
Our joint project with the Myanmar government is making steady progress into Stage 2 and 3. Despite the wet weather, the project is expected to complete on schedule.

Argentina
We have confirmed a conference in Fundación Libertad (Libertad Foundation) and will share more details soon. Libertad Foundation is a private non-profit organization that has been working on research and dissemination of public policy issues for 29 years. Created in Rosario in 1988 by a group of businessmen, professionals and intellectuals, it develops its activity with support of over 200 private companies.

C. PR, Marketing, Community

(1) Our Founder and CEO Roy Lai published “Sentinel Chain — a Bridge to Two Worlds”.

A brilliant read, it explains why Sentinel Chain is a project that takes the real-world focused approach.
