“I’m happy to leave this stinking space hopper, Lars.”
“Me too sis, I hate drinking my piss regardless of how well they service the recyclers.”
I looked at him as if he were dumb, because he was.
“It’s the same everywhere, they recycle all waste.”
“Yeah, but when there’s a small box between your piss and the tap that feeds me drinking water, it feels more gross, sis.”
Just leave it, babe.
Predictably, our parents were absent from the spaceport when the hopper landed. That doesn’t make them bad people. They just prioritise work over, well, just about everything.
I don’t know where they found time to copulate and procreate.
“There’s Greg.”
My brother has eyes like a shithouse rat, able to pick anyone out from a crowd of hundreds. My heart pumped faster, and I felt awkward knowing Greg had married and had two kids.
