SesameOpen’s Raindrop program is designed to reward loyal community members on an ongoing basis with free SO tokens based on their support for the project’s goals. We have included answers to the most frequently asked questions here. For any additional questions, please post them in our English-language Telegram group or Korean-language Kakao group.

What is Raindrop?

Raindrop, a beta product of SesameOpen, is designed to reward community members with continuous token drops in exchange for supporting the goals of the project. Each month, the Raindrop goals are reset, allowing the community to participate and get rewarded directly for the success of the project. For even more details, check out our Medium post on the Raindrop program.

What is the current Raindrop batch?

Currently, we are running a staking rewards program promoted by individual and organizations known as “Community Leaders.” Individuals who want to stake SO token join a Community Leader’s group. Community Leaders receive token as a commission for building and managing the staking community, while individual staking members receive reward based on how much they stake. For more information about the staking rewards, check out our Medium post.

What were the past Raindrop batches?

In the past, SesameOpen provided a batch of free tokens as a reward for joining SesameOpen’s Telegram or Kakao group and for referring others to join as well. That batch is now finished and was distributed just before our listing.

How were this batch’s Community Leaders chosen?

A call for interested Community Leaders was made to our Telegram and Kakao communities. Those who were interested received their own Telegram or Kakao group to build and manage as a staking community. Community Leaders were chosen based on community size and level of activity within their staking communities, demonstrating their support of the project and belief in Commerce 3.0.

How can I become a Community Leader?

Becoming a Community Leader is a great way to earn tokens commensurate with the work you do. If you’re interested in building and managing one of the first Commerce 3.0 communities, fill out the interest form. There’s no commitment now, but we will reach out when the next Raindrop batch is active to share more details.

How do I stake tokens?

You must use the interface at https://raindrop.sesameopen.network/ to stake tokens. This site will interact with your wallet to allow you to send tokens to the right smart contract for your community. We recommend using Metamask as your wallet to stake tokens. For a walkthrough of the process, review our Medium post. As always, please be careful when sending tokens that you are entering the correct ETH address and using the correct website.

Can I just send my tokens to the smart contract address in order to stake?

No! Please use the interface at https://raindrop.sesameopen.network/ to stake your tokens into your community of choice. If you simply send tokens to the smart contract address, those tokens will be lost forever. As always, please be careful when sending tokens that you are entering the correct ETH address and using the correct website.

How much can I stake?

For this Raindrop batch, there is no maximum to how much you can stake. The minimum amount of stake to be eligible for rewards is 10 SesameOpen (SO) tokens. Consult your Community Leader for more details about the staking terms.

Is KYC/AML required to stake?

KYC/AML is not required to stake tokens. However, individuals must withdraw tokens (both staked tokens and reward tokens) to an eligible exchange that performs KYC/AML. Our listing exchange partner, Dcoin, is currently the only eligible exchange, but more will be added.

Can I stake in multiple communities?

Yes, you are welcome to join and support multiple communities and stake SO token in each of their smart contracts.

When does the staking period begin and end?

Please consult our Medium post or ask us in our Telegram or Kakao group about the staking rewards program for this Raindrop batch for details on timing and rewards.

Can I withdraw my staked tokens at any time?

Yes, you can withdraw your staked tokens at any time. For the 2nd batch, the rules are that if you withdraw any staked token before the end of the staking period, you will forfeit all your staking rewards, and your Community Leader will forfeit their rewards for your portion of their staking community. Also, you will need to withdraw your staked tokens to an eligible exchange that performs KYC/AML. Our listing exchange partner, Dcoin, is currently the only eligible exchange, but more will be added.

Why haven’t I received my withdrawn tokens?

Token withdrawal requests go through an approval process to confirm that they are being withdrawn to an eligible exchange. That process is typically quick but not immediate. If you have questions or need assistance, please reach out to the admins in our Telegram or Kakao group.
