Quickie: Getting Awkward Can Help Your Sex Life
Sex doesn’t have to look perfect to be hot
Everyone has a sexual dry spell from time to time, and if your bedroom has been feeling like the Sahara Desert lately, you may be wondering how you can quench your thirst with your partner again. According to relationship expert Dr. Jenni Skyler, the best way to make your bedroom fun and wet again after a dry spell is to get awkward.
You read that right: Have awkward sex. And don’t just have it, embrace it.
In a video posted on Adam & Eve’s YouTube channel, she explains it this way: “Dry spells are real and they’re normal, and one of the biggest things I hear is that it’s really hard to get back into the groove because it feels awkward. So here’s your intervention: I want you to just purely own the awkwardness.”
“Just own the awkwardness. Put it right into the mix and say it because when we do this, it diffuses the tension.”
It sounds like a crazy idea, but I think what Skyler says makes sense. We can drive ourselves up the wall trying to have picture-perfect sex — but is there really such a thing? We definitely aren’t going to be able to emulate the choreography we may see in adult films, so why not just accept it…
